A Strong, Sustainable & Complete
Our Competitive Edge
Recycling aluminum reduces CO₂ emissions by over 95% compared with primary production.
The carbon footprint of our secondary recycling production process is much lower than the global average, approximately (0.4 –0.5) ton CO₂e per ton of aluminum (or 400-500 kg CO₂e/ton) emissions compared to the global average emission intensity was 14.8 tonnes of CO2e per ton of primary aluminum. We have already reduced the carbon intensity of secondary aluminum production by 50% since 2014. Our semi-fabrication and recycling processes have equally reduced their carbon intensity, making us a best-in-class producer.
In 2014, BROTHERS industrial group already incorporated a holistic approach to sustainability in its Sustainability Roadmap. Our Team apply the highest environmental, social and governance standards across the entire aluminum value chain, from sourcing raw materials to managing end-of-life products.
our companies are catalysts for innovation in the circular economy, decarbonization, and disruptive technologies. We invest over EGP 50 million in research and innovation to achieve our sustainability goals.
Egypt has an integrated and well-established aluminum value chain, with more than 50 factories, ranging from raw materials to base metal production, to micro-manufacturing processes (such as rolling and extrusion), to recycling. This integrated chain enables us to face external shocks, providing strategic goods, industrial skills, expertise and technologies that Egypt needs to achieve its sustainability goals and maintain its industrial leadership.
